SIP Communicator - Pure Java Voice Over IP

posted Tuesday, 4 October 2005
This looks like a pretty cool project.

Sip Communicator is a pure Java SIP User Agent built using the JAIN SIP RI, and JMF which makes it 100% portable (tested on Win, Linux and Mac). Key features of the SIP Communicator support of both audio and video, works with IPv4 and IPv6. Work is currently underway to support J2ME, instant messaging and firewalls. Versions of SIP Communicator exist for multiple platforms : Windows, Solaris, Linux and a pure Java version that will work on any platform with J2SE 1.4 or later. You can find the download area here. You can also run it with Java WebStart. Sources are also available.
