Reverse-Engineer Your Java Source Code Into A UML Model

Java Studio Enterprise 8 is a powerful J2EE IDE with a number of sophisticated enterprise features. One feature in particular allows reverse engineering of Java source code into a UML model.
Java Studio Enterprise 8 (based on NetBeans) has some very nice UML features which allows you to begin your design with UML.  There is also a nice tutorial which shows how to go in-reverse.  This is a really nice tutorial - no flash demos this time - simply instructions on how to use Java Studio Enterprise to take code sources and reverse engineer the code into a UML model. For this tutorial you require the free available Java Studio Enterprise 8.  In this tutorial you are provided with the Java source code for banking application which you run Java-Platform Model by Reverse-Engineering a Java Project on. The tutorial shows you how to generate class diagrams.  Note that Java Studio Enterprise 8 is now available at no charge and has recently won the "Best Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) IDE" from SYS-CON Media.  You can find alot of resources for Java Studio Enterprise 8 here.  There are lots of useful UML resources.
