Its the shadows and reflections cast from the future that interest me.

New Tutorials : Grails IDE (+ Groovy Tutorial and Screencast)

posted Saturday, 13 December 2008
There is a new tutorial, Introduction to the Grails Web Framework,  a document that gets you started with Grails in NetBeans IDE.  I have a fondness for Grails because everything top-to- bottom is Java and it provides a nice web framework that rivals Ruby.  Grails developers have deep access to Java facilities.  In this tutorial, you start by creating an application, domain class, controller and then running the application.  You can also find another relatively new tutorial, Introduction to Groovy, (Groovy is the Java-based foundation language for Grails)  that gets you started with Groovy and shows you how to create a Groovy application, shows you how to call Groovy from Java.  If you are interested in more Groovy-ness and Grails check out the Grails Quick Start and the Groovy home.  Also check the NetBeans.tv screencast, Groovy Makes Java Better.
