NetBeans Wins InfoWorld 2007 Technology Award for App Development and O'Reilly's Anglin's IDE of the Year Award

posted Tuesday, 2 January 2007
NetBeans IDE 5.5 is scoring right and left.  First, NetBeans IDE 5.5 was awarded InfoWorld 2007 Technology of the Year Award for Application Development.  This was giant recognition of all the cool stuff that the NetBeans community is producing and the cool new NetBeans packs in 5.5.  But wait there is more,  O'Reilly's Steve Anglin's Java Technology 2006 Winners and Losers of the Year list goes a bit further and also awards NetBeans as the Winner of the Java IDE Platform/general Java Framework of the year and lists Eclipse's WTP and Dali/JSF as loser of the year (ouch!) for Enterprise Java/Java EE Framework. Competition is alive and well in the IDE space.
