New NetBeans Profiler Milestone Tutorial Available; Profiler Milestone 9 Released

posted Monday, 3 October 2005
A brand new NetBeans tutorial on the Profiler. The NetBeans Profiler is a powerful tool that provides important information about the runtime behavior of your application. Imposing relatively little overhead, the NetBeans Profiler tracks thread state, CPU performance, and memory usage. This tutorial will show you how to use the NetBeans Profiler to  monitor the runtime behavior of an application, determine the CPU time used by an applications methods and monitor the creation of objects by an application. This is about a 50 minute tutorial that walks you through the profiler. You may choose to use either NetBeans 4.1 or 5.0 Beta. Note you should use Profiler Milestone 8 for 4.1 and Profiler Milestone 9 for 5.0. You can find the tutorial here. If you don't know what is new in Milestone 9 - read here.
