posted Wednesday, 19 November 2008
| NetBeans IDE 6.5 has been released. NetBeans IDE 6.5 is the latest release and offers a wide range of new features - a PHP IDE, a Groovy/Grails IDE, a JavaScript IDE and wide improvements in desktop, mobile and enterprise Java. You can download it here. My pal, Sridhar Reddy ( known for some pretty wonderful hands-on labs at JavaOne 2008 ) has released an excellent introductory screencast, Introduction to NetBeans IDE 6.5, here (and here). Another screencast, Working with JavaScript Toolkits, has also been released. If you are interested in seeing the new PHP features - check out, Building a Flickr Slidshow with PHP. In another new screencast, RESTful Web Services Pet Catalog - NetBeans IDE 6.5, Carol McDonald shows how to build a Pet Catalog using RESTful Web Services, JAX-RS, Dojo, MySQL and NetBeans IDE 6.5. Details of what is in NetBeans IDE 6.5 can be found here. | | |
