NetBeans IDE 6.1/MySQL Tutorials : Connecting & Creating a Simple Web App

posted Thursday, 26 June 2008
The NetBeans tutorial, Connecting to a MySQL Database, has been updated to reflect changes in NetBeans 6.1.  It walks you through configuring MySQL Server properties, starting the MySQL database, creating and connecting to the database working with Table Data, running an SQL script and more.  If you want a full but simple example of using MySQL in conjunction with a simple web app then you should check out another tutorial, Creating A Simple Web App Using A MySQL Database.  In this tutorial we are walked through planning the structure, creating the new project, preparing the interface, setting up the connection pool, adding dynamic logic and finally deploying and running the project.
