NetBeans 6 Editor : Editing Enhancement in 6.0 (screencasts) and a Ruby-On-Rails Cheat Sheet

posted Monday, 17 December 2007
Off the line offers you a great cheat sheet if you are writing Ruby on Rails apps. If you are writing Ruby apps with NetBeans - you definitely want to look at the NetBeans 6.0 Cheat Sheet for Ruby on Rails (there is a Linux/Windows/ Solaris/etc version and Mac version) development.  While you are looking at these shortcuts it is worth looking at two other new Editor related screencasts.  David Coldrick screencast, Features of the NetBeans 6 Editor, does a nice job in showing the enhancements in the NetBeans 6.0 editor.  (btw - I like David's screencast - there a nice size and you can see clearly what's going on)  Gregg Sporar has a nice video, Java Editing Enhancements in NetBeans IDE 6.0,  which shows some of the enhancements and new features in the NetBeans IDE's Java editor, including code completion, code insertion, editor hints, occurrence highlighting, and inline rename. You'll also see the diff viewer, local history, runtime configurations, and some windowing tricks.
