Always reading bits...

Its the shadows and reflections cast from the future that interest me.

NetBeans 4.1/4.2 Demos and Lots of New NetBeans Resources

posted Saturday, 14 May 2005
There are some great new NetBeans resources including Flash demos of various features.  Let start with a new J2EE 1.4 Tutorial for NetBeans IDE.  This tutorial examines several aspects of J2EE 1.4 technology and how to quickly and easily code enterprise applications using NetBeans IDE 4.1 .  In addition, Charlie Hunt has written a nice tutorial on Building and Running Java PathFinder with NetBeans.  This document illustrates how easy it is to get a NetBeans development environment up and running for the Java PathFinder SourceForge.net project. As you will read in this document, using NetBeans as the development tool for building and running Java PathFinder is very simple.

There are some nice flash demos of :

Creating a Midlet Using the NetBeans 4.1 Mobility Pack

Short Demo of Web Services Support in NetBeans 4.1

New Code Completion for NetBeans 4.2.  More info on this here.

In addition, Geertjan has written a six part series on NetBeans Modules for Dummies (1 2 3 4 5 6 ) and there are some other nice references to writing NetBeans modules such as NetBeans : How to write a HelloWorld Module, Modules API Information and NetBeans Developer Guide.

Lots of new bits to read.
