One, (LAB-5540) Save Time Build Desktop Applications Quickly with the NetBeans Platform, was absolutely packed. The session leaders were Lukas Hasik and Jiri Rechtacek of Sun Microsystems, Inc. It was a wonderful sight to a packed huge room of people all learning NetBeans RCP. It was a terrific session. I ran into a lot people I have communicated with in the past. A number of NetBeans Dream Team members were there. Notably, Toni Epple, (unfortunately my picture of him was blurred) who at various points in time I've chatted with. He has done some terrific work with a Visual Database Explorer for NetBeans and a lot more. I also bumped into Rich Unger who is a Senior member of the technical staff at Salesforce.com. We've also chatted and it was a pleasure to talk with him again. I also chatted with Sven Reimer and Wade Chandler. I will post some pics of the team in the next few days. Reminder (see my previous blog entry JavaOne 2009 : Java DB ) : If you are using Java DB or Derby - drop me an email (cld9731 at yahoo dot com) let me know what how you are using it. I promised Francois Orsini I would send the information back to the Sun Java DB group. |
