Update : NetBeans 3.6 Beta is out. The "buzz" has
started. J2SE 1.5 Beta is here. Already over at JavaLobby the debate is going on whether to run JavaLobby on
it. The Beta 1 of J2SE 1.5 is now available.
The summary of new features can be found here and the supported system
|
configurations can be found here. Calvin Austin has done a very nice article, J2SE
in a Nutshell. One nice feature worth looking at is Class File Sharing. Some more nice
write-ups on Garbage Collection, Thread Priority, the new Ocean look & feel, Already J2SE 1.5 sample
code is popping up.
Note when NetBeans 3.6 is released it will work with 1.5 J2SE.
Worth reading is Unleashing NetBeans which discusses the emerging
version of NetBeans.
