Genuitec's MyEclipse IDE Offers Another Bridge To NetBeans; Offers SNAP Plugin
posted Monday, 12 February 2007
| Genuitec has created another bridge to NetBeans. The company that ships an Eclipse-based development environment offered Matisse last year. Now it is offering a bridge so that NetBeans developers can also leverage MyEclipse SNAPS (developer tools) from within NetBeans. First, they have created a plugin, MyEclipse Use-Anywhere SNAP Connector Extension, for NetBeans. NetBeans developers are then able to leverage MyEclipse-based SNAPs - such as the Image Editor. You can read more about it here. There is a basic example in flash demo form here. This expands NetBeans horizons to also leverage SNAP tools from MyEclipse. The bridges between NetBeans and MyEclipse are getting increasingly mutually interesting. Where as before MyEclipse was the beneficiary of NetBeans Matisse builder - now NetBeans developers can leverage MyEclipse SNAPs. |
