Evans Data Survey : Swing UI Toolkit Passes WinForms ; Looks Like The Swing Party is in High Gear
posted Tuesday, 18 October 2005
| Hans
Muller's blog
has pointed to the latest Evans Survey that confirms the
Swing renaissance I have been talking about -"Java Swing with 47% use, has
surpassed WinForms as the dominant GUI development toolkit, an increase
of 27% since fall 2004." Swing has outpaced
every other GUI toolkit including Microsoft's WinForms. SCREECH. ...........Skid marks. |

Everything comes to a
sharp halt.
All you SWT guys - read it and read it again.
Developers are turning to Swing in a big way. I have
been
talking about a Swing
renaissance and this report now not only
confirms it - it highlights the fact that Swing is
beating even Microsoft's WinForms GUI toolkit and all the
other
GUI toolkits.
While you are out celebrating the good news - don't forget to read Kirill
Grouchnikov's blog.
Kirill is really doing some fun stuff. |
