Eating Those Web Services - Done Simply With NetBeans

posted Saturday, 20 August 2005
>   Geertjan has made available two drafts of how to consume web services using NetBeans IDE 4.1. The two drafts follow-on the work done in Eating Web Services in NetBeans IDE 4.1 with Consuming Web Services in NetBeans IDE 4.1 - Part 1 is a quick start guide and Part 2 is a deeper dive into the nuts-and-bolts.  In the end you are left we a nice front-end to a spellcheck service.  Geertjan also mentions in another blog entry where to find web services.

>   Brian Leonard documented his efforts in consuming Amazon's webservices using the NetBeans IDE 4.1.  He systematically goes through setting up your environments, creating the application, modifying it and debugging the application.

 >  Geertjan highlighted a chess game web service.  He developed a two part description on consuming this web service.  Part 1 - Playing Chess with the NetBeans IDE describes the web service, the format of messages and how to use the service.  Part 2 - Play Chess with the NetBeans IDE describes making the board.
