Brian Leonard has a nice new tutorial which shows you how to rapidly produce a web application with NetBeans jRuby and Derby. He walks you through seeting up your environment, creating a Ruby project, generating a controller, using a scaffold, using Rails, generating a scaffold to customize the display and more.
