Creating A Database Driven Web App Without Writing Any Code (Flash Demo)
posted Thursday, 25 May 2006
Geertjan wrote a great article (something very routine for him) awhile back which had lots of great comments as well. The article covers how to create a nice database-driven web app without any coding - just basically using the NetBeans wizards. Geertjan's used the GlassFish app server. Developers familiar with Ruby on Rails will be pleasantly surprised by the power of NetBeans. NetBeans offers a very fast and easy way to create basic CRUD web applications. Brian Leonard, another NetBeans evangelist, who has a great blog took Geertjan's effort showed how to easily make it work with JBoss. Roman Strobl, yesterday, made a very nice flash demo that talks about these features in NetBeans. |
